Airtel to launch co-branded bundled smartphone with Lava, Karbonn or HMD - report

Indian mobile operator Bharti Airtel plans to launch a co-branded smartphone in partnership with handset makers. Airtel has floated a request for proposal for handsets and manufacturers. Lava, Karbonn and HMD Global have already expresses their interest and are ready with possible devices and specifications, The Economic Times reports citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. Airtel also plans to introduce bundled data and voice offers to bring down the effective price of the smartphone.
