
Thai operator AIS Fibre has introduced a 2 Gbps package on the local market. AIS also reports it has teamed up with partners to develop the Smart Optical Converter (2.5 Gbps) to deliver the full 2 Gbps network speed to customer homes. The 2 Gbps package is available for a starting price of THB 1,299.
AIS's fibre-optic network reaches 3.5 million households in Greater Bangkok and over 8 million households in all 77 provinces nationwide.
AIS Fibre offers 3 Home Internet packages
AIS’ 2Gbps Serenade Package will provide subscribers with maximum download speeds of 2Gbps and upload speed of 500Mbps. The service fee is THB 1,699 per month, without the THB 2,000 entry fee for AIS Serenade customers.
Subscribers will be able to use two Linksys AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router Mesh Routers and one Smart Optical Converter 2.5Gbps; as well as the AIS PlayBox with the Play Premium Plus package for 2 years of free viewing.
AIS will initially offer its 2Gbps Serenade Package in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.
AIS’ Byod 2Gbps Package offers maximum download speeds of 2Gbps and upload speeds of 500Mbps, and is available for a service fee of THB 1,299 per month, and an entry fee discounted to THB 800 from THB 2,000. Subscribers will be able to use one 2.5 Gbps Smart Optical Converter. The Byod 2Gbps Package will initially be available in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.
AIS also offers the SuperMESH WIFI 1.5Gbps Package for maximum download speeds of 1.5Gbps and upload speeds of 500Mbps. The service fee is THB 1,299 per month, with an entry fee discounted to THB 800 from THB 2,000. Users will be entitled to use one T3 Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 and one T3 Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 Model of router received in the package will depend on the area it will be used by the customer.
Subscribers will also be able to use the AIS PlayBox with the Play Premium package for 2 years of free viewing. The SuperMESH WIFI 1.5Gbps Pack will initially be available in Greater Bangkok, aand will be later rolled out to 15 provinces: Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Pathom, Rayong, Ayutthaya, Songkhla, Surat Thani, Phuket, Phitsanulok, Khon Kaen and Udon Thani.
