Albanian monitoring finds mobile phone mast radiation is below limits

Saturday 27 April 2019 | 20:51 CET | News
Radiation from mobile phone antennas in Albania is below the defined legal limits and does not pose a risk to human health. This is the result of the first monitoring by the Electronic Communications Authority and the Postal Authority. The monitoring was carried out in February and March in the cities of Fier, Lushnja, Elbasan and Kavaje, mainly in sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals and other institutions. The exposure reference levels are set by a Council of Ministers regulation of 2012.

Being "below the defined [thermal] legal limits" does not imply protection from scientifically established non-thermal bio-effects. Its just what the phrase says: legal protection granted the telecoms by the State.
