Alcatel-Lucent, Bluesky Pacific to deploy submarine cable

Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks, the undersea cables subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, has signed a contract with Amper, a subsidiary Bluesky Pacific Group, to deploy a new submarine cable system spanning more than 9,700 km across the Pacific. Dubbed 'Moana Cable', the submarine cable system will link New Zealand and Hawaii.
