Alcatel unions want French State to buy significant stake

Alcatel-Lucent unions meeting with the prime minister's office on 9 January have called for the French government to buy a significant stake in the group, reports Les Echos. In a letter to the prime minister, the company's employees said they wanted to see the government adopt "a global telecoms and digital plan" that links spectrum allocations to jobs maintained or created.
