Algeria and Tunisia agree to end roaming surcharges

Algerian ICT minister Imane-Houda Faraoun announced on Radio Algerienne an agreement with Tunisia that will bring an end to roaming surcharges for mobile customers travelling between the two countries. She participated with her Tunisian counterpart, Anouar Maarouf, in the works of the latest joint technical committee for greater collaboration in the ICT and postal sectors, which opened in Algiers on 27 January. As part of these talks, the two countries have also discussed a potential partnership that would enable Tunisia to use Algeria's Alcomsat-1 telecom satellite, as well as future
