Algerian regulator fines Djezzy, Mobilis and Ooredoo over missed QoS and coverage obligations

Algerian telecom authority Arpce has imposed sanctions totalling DZD 172.5 million (approximately EUR 1.14 million) on the country's three mobile network operators, over the failure to meet a number of their LTE coverage and QoS (Quality of Service) obligations. Veon's subsidiary Djezzy has received the highest fine, amounting to DZD 82.6 million. Mobilis faces a penalty of DZD 63.9 million, while Ooredoo has been asked to pay DZD 26.0 million.
