Alibaba launches 'Amazing Italy' shopping event

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has launched a four-day shopping event to promote prime Made in Italy products to Chinese consumers, reports Il Sole 24 Ore. The event, dubbed 'Amazing Italy' is timed to coincide with the Festa della Repubblica, the Italian National Day, on 02 June and will see around 60 Italian companies, 100 brands and over 1,000 products featured on Alibaba's B2C platforms Tmall.com, Tmall global, Tmall supermarket, JuHuaSuan and AliTrip.  Featured companies include Pirelli, Barilla, Coop, winemaker Mezzacorona and even luxury carmaker Maserati.
