Alibaba to invest USD 177 mln in Paytm

Alibaba will invest INR 11.8 billion (approximately USD 177 million) to increase its stake in Paytm's e-commerce unit, The Economic Times reports. In addition to the investment by Alibaba Singapore E-Commerce, venture firm SAIF Partners will also participate in the USD 200 million funding round in Paytm E-commerce Private Limited, according to filings made with the Registrar of Companies.
