Almost half of UK adults plan to use ad blockers - survey

Research by KPMG shows that almost half (44%) of UK adults plan to use an ad blocker within the next six months, reports The Guardian. Of those people, 46 percent plan to block ads because they 'do no like ads at all', and 47 percent plan to block them because they take up too much screen space. Other reasons for blocking ads include a lack of advertising relevance (over 40%), reduction of device performance (over 40%), a misuse of personal data (over one third) and ads using up mobile data allowances (23%).
