Altice CEO Combes resigns in management reshuffle

Altice has announced the resignation of its CEO Michel Combes in a management reshuffle following the release of the company’s third-quarter results. The group's founder Patrick Drahi has been reappointed president of the board after stepping down last year, with Dexter Goei named CEO while keeping his role as chief executive and chairman of Altice USA. Additional changes see Dennis Okhuijsen appointed Altice Europe head while continuing as the group’s chief financial officer and current SFR Media CEO Alain Weill named SFR Group chairman and chief executive.

In a statement, Altice said the new management and governance structure is designed to·better implement Altice’s strategy, create clearer accountability amongst management and improve the operational and financial performance of the business. It added that the changes will provide "direct, clear leadership of the European operations to deliver on its potential and continue to support Altice USA."

The company’s third-quarter results showed continued progress in the US, where revenues were up 3.2 percent year on year, contrasting with a 1.3 percent year on year fall in France and a 3.1 percent decline at its PT Portugal unit.
