Altice completes takeover of Cablevision

Altice said it has completed its takeover US cable operator Cablevision. The company will be merged with Suddenlink, acquired by Altice at the end of last year, to form the fourth-largest cable group in the US, active in 20 states. Altice agreed in September 2015 to acquire Cablevision, at an enterprise value of USD 17.7 billion. BC Partners and CPP Investment Board hold a 30 percent stake in the company. The new company Altice USA will be led by Altice president Dexter Goei. Charles Stewart and Hakim Boubazine will serve as co-presidents and respectively CFO and COO of Altice USA. The new
