Altice fibre JV makes concessions to get approval for Covage acquisition – report

French fibre venture SFR FTTH, owned by Altice Europe and three investment firms, has reportedly proposed some concessions to European Union regulators on its planned acquisition of Covage, to overcome concerns of reduced competition. According to a document seen by Les Echos, consultants working for the company have prepared a plan to "save" the deal, after the EU's Directorate-General for Competition raised objections over the possible impact of the acquisition on the B2B market.
