Altice grows Q2 EBITDA 13% on French improvement

Altice reported second-quarter revenues down 2.0 percent from a year earlier to EUR 3.906 billion. Revenues in its largest market France fell 2.5 percent to EUR 2.775 billion, and revenues elsewhere declined 0.6 percent to EUR 1.131 billion. EBITDA was still up 13 percent to EUR 1.549 billion, led by an 18 percent increase in France on synergies from the SFR-Numericable merger. The EBITDA margin expanded by 5.4 percent points to 39.7 percent. Altice also posted operating free cash flow up 24 percent to EUR 911 million. The results include the first month of PT Portugal, after the takeover
