Altice Portugal close to decision on sale of fibre-optic network

Thursday 2 May 2019 | 10:47 CET | News
Altice Portugal CEO Alexandre Fonseca said that the company's analysis of the possible sale of its fibre-optic network "is practically completed" and that the company is "listening to the market" in terms of potential interested parties, reports Lusa. Asked about the sale, he repeated that the decision to sell the assets or not will be made by the end of the first half of the year, adding that this is not an urgent issue. Fonseca said that if it does decide to sell the assets, it is essential that the continuity of investment is guaranteed, until Portugal is "covered 100 percent" by fibre.
