Altice Portugal partners with Bosch, Huawei, Aveiro university on 5G IIoT

Altice Portugal has signed a MoU with Bosch, Huawei and the University of Aveiro to identify 5G application opportunities in an industrial environment. Bosch will be responsible for implementing the use cases using 5G in its factories in Portugal, Altice will contribute its expertise on network design, and Huawei will introduce its technology and communications equipment. The University of Aveiro will play a key role in defining the network architecture, taking advantage of its 5G Lab in the new Science and Innovation Park. The project is expected to be implemented by the end of 2023.
