Amazon adds child-targeted skills to Alexa platform

Monday 4 September 2017 | 15:32 CET | News
Amazon has added its first skills targeted at children aged 13 and under to its voice assistant Alexa, reports TechCrunch. The skills have a new Verified Parental Consent feature, paving the way for developers to create voice apps for children, having previously been wary of potential legal issues, said the report. Parents can now activate the new feature after verifying their identity via an SMS code or via their credit card's security code.
