Amazon adds Showtime, Starz streaming TV to Amazon Prime

Amazon has launched the Streaming Partners Program, an OTT streaming subscription programme giving video providers access to Amazon Prime members. Launch partners include Showtime, Starz and several others. Under the programme Amazon is responsible for driving all subscriber acquisition, handling customer service, managing billing and credit card expirations, and managing compatibility across hundreds of devices. Benefits for viewers include free trials on all subscription, Prime member pricing and the convenience of one account. A subscription to Showtime or Starz costs USD 8.99 per month.
