Amazon has announced a new version of Kindle FreeTime on Kindle Fire tablets that offers new educational features for kids and parents. FreeTime is a free feature and the update will be delivered automatically to any Kindle Fire tablet that has the FreeTime app in the coming weeks. The updated FreeTime comes with new Educational Goals, allowing parents to set additional goals for kids such as setting a goal to read 30 minutes each day in FreeTime. Parents can also make sure their kids have reached the educational goals before they are allowed to watch TV or play games by tapping Learn First.
