Amazon changes search algorithm to boost profitable products - report

Amazon.com has adjusted its product-search system to more prominently feature listings that are more profitable for the company, people who worked on the project told the Wall Street Journal. The move was contested by some within the company, as it could favor Amazon's own brands over other sellers.
