Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Spot go on sale in France

French consumers can now reserve the Amazon Echo smart speaker, with shipping scheduled to start on 13 June. Retailing at the recommended price of EUR 99.99, the device is currently discounted at EUR 49.99 on Amazon France. The Echo Dot and Echo Spot are also making their market entry, sold at the recommended price of EUR 59.99 and EUR 129.99 respectively, with special offers available on both.

While deliveries of the Echo Dot will begin on 13 June, the Echo Spot will start shipping on 23 July. Advance orders for the three products can also be placed through French retailer Boulanger.

Customers will be able to access the Amazon Alexa virtual assistant in French. To support the launch, from this month the Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) and the Alexa Voice Service (AVS) will enable developers to build Alexa-enabled skills and services for the French market.

Google France has announced that its new Home Mini speaker can be reserved from 05 October on its online store and on several e-commerce sites (Boulanger, Fnac, Darty, LDLC, CDiscount, and Leclerc).
