Amazon eliminating hundreds of jobs in some areas, hiring aggressively in others

Amazon is eliminating several hundred jobs in Seattle, and hundreds elsewhere, in a rare layoff aimed mainly at its consumer retail Business, the Seattle Times reported, adding that the company continues to hire aggressively in other areas. Several hundred jobs will be cut at the company's headquarters in Seattle, along with hundreds more elsewhere.
