Amazon faces wave of complaints over difficulties cancelling Prime after Norwegian consumer report

The Norwegian Consumer Council said sixteen consumer organisations in Europe and the US are taking action against Amazon based on the council's report, 'You can log out, but you can never leave'. The council has filed a complaint at the Consumer Protection Authority for breach of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive. It said Amazon makes it difficult for customers to leave its Amazon Prime service by using "dark patterns" to confuse and frustrate them.
