Amazon files plan to send up LEO satellites for internet on earth
Amazon has filed details about its Project Kuiper with the United Nations International Telecommunication Union, saying it wants to set up a network of over 3,000 satellites for high speed internet, Reuters reported. The project aims to launch an array of low earth orbit (LEO) satellites and so bring low-latency broadband to people in hard to reach areas worldwide.

SpaceX and OneWeb are involved in similar projects, as are LeoSat and Telesat, with Blue Origin.
