UK satellite operator OneWeb said it has successfully completed the tests on its six satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and that these were able to deliver speeds of up to 400 Mbps, with a latency time at less than 40 milliseconds. The tests took place in Seoul, South Korea, and were conducted in partnership with Intellian, the developer of OneWeb's user terminals, and SatixFY, the developer and manufacturer of an 125 MHz SCOC test modem. They specifically looked at latency, speed, jitter, seamless handover between satellites and power control.
