Amazon Germany to shut down Lovefilm

Amazon Germany will shut down its film rental service Lovefilm as of 31 October, the company confirmed to Spiegel Online, following an initial report by Golem.de. Started in Germany in 2006, the DVD rental service was taken over by Amazon in 2011.
