Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft named cloud services leaders

Amazon (AWS), Google, IBM and Microsoft (Azure) have been designated "leaders" for cloud IT infrastructure services in a ranking of providers drawn up by IHS Markit. The new Cloud IT Infrastructure Service Provider Scorecard evaluates the leading off-premises cloud IT infrastructure service providers on criteria including direct feedback from buyers, provider market share, market share momentum, financials, brand recognition, reputation for innovation and other benchmarks, said IHS Markit. CenturyLink, Equinix and Rackspace were identified as established players in the 2016 ranking.
