Amazon releases new Fire tablets for under USD 80
Amazon announced a new range of tablets, including 7- and 8-inch of the Fire slates and kids versions. 

The Fire 7 features a thinner and lighter design, an improved 7-inch IPS display with higher contrast and sharper text, longer battery life with up to eight hours of mixed use, 8 GB of storage with support for up to 256 GB of expandable storage, and better Wi-Fi connectivity, plus Amazon's voice-activated assistant Alexa. 

The Fire HD 8 offers an 8-inch HD display with over 1 million pixels, a quad-core processor, up to 12 hours of battery life, 16 GB of storage with support for up to 256 GB more, plus Alexa. 

The tablets are available to pre-order and will ship from 07 June, for respectively USD 49.99 and USD 79.99. They will also be available in Europe for respectively EUR 69.99/GBP 49.99 and EUR 109.99/GBP 79.99. In euro markets, Amazon is offering a discount for Prime members, with the Fire 7 costing EUR 54.99 and the Fire 8 EUR 89.99.

The kids versions come with durable cases in a choice of three bright colours and a two-year guarantee, as well as curated, age-appropriate content with a one-year subscription to the Amazon FreeTime Unlimited service of books, games, videos and apps. 

The Fire 7 and 8 kids editions will cost respectively USD 99.99 and USD 129.99. Customers buying at least three of any of the new tablet models will receive a 20 percent discount.
