Amazon rents B2C shelf at Alibaba's Tmall portal

US e-commerce company Amazon.com opened a store aimed at Chinese consumers on Chinese company Alibaba's Tmall.com, a Chinese-language website for business-to-consumer (B2C) online retail, spun off from online marketplace Taobao, writes Bloomberg citing Candice Huang, a spokeswoman for Alibaba. With this move, the web retailer intends to expand in the world's second-biggest economy and boost its international sales. In 2014, the retailer's international sales represented 38 percent from its revenue, down 10 percent compared to 2009. So far, the company invested in building warehouses to ship
