Amazon unveils Kindle Fire tablet for USD 199

Amazon.com has unveiled its long-awaited tablet computer, the Kindle Fire priced at USD 199. The Android device with 7-inch screen, Wi-Fi and dual-core processor comes with the new Amazon Silk web browser, which uses the servers of the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud to cache web content and accelerate browsing. The Kindle Fire will promote access to a range of Amazon services, including more than 1 million e-books, the Amazon Instant Video service with over 100,000 titles to rent or buy, the Amazon Android app store and the Amazon MP3 Store with 17 million songs.
