America Movil acquires 93.56% of Telint, 99.44% of Carso
America Movil has released the final results for its tender offers for Carso Global Telecom and Telmex International (Telint). America Movil paid around MXN 26.78 billion (approximately USD 2.12 billion) in cash and issued over 1.34 billion shares for a 93.6 percent stake in Telint. Additionally, America Movil has issued 7.08 billion shares to tendering shareholders of Carso Global. America Movil now owns a 99.44 percent stake in Carso. As a result of the exchange offers, America Movil has around 40.54 billion shares of capital stock outstanding as of 16 June. Billionaire Carlos Slim holds controlling stakes in all of the companies involved in the deal.
