America Movil 'in no hurry' to launch 5G in Latin America

Thursday 17 October 2019 | 11:21 CET | News
America Movil has no plans to increase investment across its Latin American markets over the 2020-21 period due to 5G technology, said the company's CEO Daniel Hajj, according to BN Americas. "We are not in a hurry to get 5G in Latin America. What we're doing right now is to virtualize the network and add much more fibre to the node and some things that we're going to use in 5G when we decide to launch 5G," said Hajj in an earnings call following the publication of the company's third-quarter results.
