America Movil may obtain USD 10-15 bln from assets sale

America Movil may obtain USD10-15 billion for the sale of part of its assets in Mexico, La Jornada reports, citing financial analyst Andrés Audiffred . The operator has recently decided to sell certain assets in order to avoid strict regulations under new telecoms law. According to Audifreed, the sale of the assets will take several months and is likely to initially affect America Movil's revenues. The move to sell the assets has the goal to reduce the operator's market share to less than 50 percent, to avoid being considered a dominant player and be object of strict controls and asymmetrical
