America Movil mulling bid for KPN - report

America Movil is reportedly considering a bid for KPN at over EUR 3 per share, the Daily Mail reported, saying KPN shares rose on the market rumour. America Movil already has a 30 percent stake in KPN, paid at EUR 8 per share, or a total of EUR 2.8 billion. KPN has since also staged a capital increase of EUR 4 billion in order to strengthen its balance sheet. The company will need to refinance EUR 6 billion in the next five years.
