America Movil yet to file asset sale plan

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has not yet received a plan from America Movil setting out how the company will sell assets to reduce its market share, reports Reuters. IFT head Gabriel Contreras told reporters it still had not received the divestiture plan foreseen by the law. America Movil, which has about 70 percent of Mexico's mobile market, is subject to tougher regulation and penalties under a new telecommunications reform passed by the government.
