American Tower, H3C, InterDigital, Samsung join MulteFire Alliance

American Tower, H3C, InterDigital Communications, and Samsung Electronics America joined the MulteFire Alliance to advance MulteFire, an LTE-based technology operating in unlicensed or shared spectrum. The organisation said that MulteFire delivers key advantages in terms of capacity, coverage, mobility and reliability thanks to its LTE-based design for handling interference from multiple users. The technology can be deployed as a traditional access mode by a single network operator.
