Amtob appoints Banglalink's Shatara as chairman

The Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (Amtob) has appointed Ziad Shatara as its chairman. Shatara is CEO of Bangladeshi mobile operator Banglalink. He is taking over the Amtob chairman position from Chris Tobit, CEO of mobile operator Airtel Bangladesh. Amtob has also appointed Vivek Sood, CEO of Grameenphone, as vice-chairman of its executive council.
