Anatel approves Oi, TIM sharing 4G infrastructure

Brazilian regulator Anatel approved TIM and Oi sharing infrastructure in order to offer 4G technology in the frequency range of 2.5 GHz. The proposal says that each operator will be responsible for the implementation of infrastructure in specific locations and will waive the use to the other operator to offer the service in the same place. Besides the sharing of masts and towers, which is already being adopted in the industry, the operators have asked Anatel for approval to share active infrastructure such as transmission equipment and base stations.
