Android dominates in Russian smartphone market

The share of Android smartphones totaled 70.9 percent of all smartphones sold on the Russian market in the first quarter, reports Mail.ru from a study with IDC. Android's share has increased from 39.7 percent in a year. The share of Symbian devices dropped over the same period from 33.7 percent to 1.9 percent. The Apple iOS share was down slightly at 8.4 percent, while Windows grew from 5.1 percent to 8.3 percent.
