Android maintains lead in US market, iPhone still top device

Google's Android maintained its lead in smartphone sales in the US in the three months to November, capturing 50.3 percent of the market, according to the latest figures from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Apple's iOS followed with 43.1 percent of smartphone sales, an increase month on month, but down 9.9 percent points versus the same period a year earlier. Microsoft's Windows Phone was in third place, with nearly 5 percent of smartphones sold, up 2.1 percent points from the previous year.
