Anga highlights role for HFC networks in 5G

Germany cable industry association Anga has presented a paper on 5G and the expected synergies with fixed networks. Launched at the government's annual Digital Summit, the paper outlines the need for fibre networks to realise the promises of 5G and how HFC networks, with the upcoming deployment of Docsis 3.1, can also contribute to the backhaul requirements. The paper also highlights how the expansion of fibre to all locations will be a key component of all access technologies.
