Antel to set up Argentina unit to sell subsea cable capacity

Tuesday 5 September 2017 | 10:03 CET | News
Uruguayan operator Antel is to set up a new company in Argentina to sell capacity from its newly-inaugurated subsea fibre-optic cable, reports El Observador, citing the company's president Andres Tolosa. "We have already created a company in Brazil, we already had one in the US and we are setting one up in Argentina to sell the submarine cable's capacity in the international market," said Tolosa. The commercial units in Argentina and Brazil will also act as gateways for the sale of capacity to Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia, added the Antel president.
