Apple buys facial recognition software specialist - report

Apple has reportedly acquired Israeli startup RealFace, which specialises in facial recognition software for authentification purposes for "a couple million dollars", Cnet reported, citing Israeli business news site Calcalist. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation and comment. Meanwhile, the RealFace's website was offline in on 19 February and contact information was unavailable.
