Apple CEO calls tax dodging claims 'total political crap'

Speaking on CBS show 60 Minutes, Apple CEO Tim Cook dismissed as "total political crap" the idea that his company was avoiding taxes by re-domiciling its tax base to pay less tax, reports the Guardian. He said, "Apple pays every tax dollar we owe," adding that bringing profits back to the US would cost the company 40 percent. "I don't think that's a reasonable thing to do." Cook added that the current tax code was written for the industrial age, rather than the digital age, and should have been fixed many years ago.
