Thursday 23 March 2017 | 14:43 CET | News
Apple could soon start assembling iPhones in India for the first time, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing government officials familiar with its plans. Taiwanese contract manufacturer Wistron could start making iPhone 6 and 6S models in India within six weeks in Bangalore, said an official of the southern state of Karnataka where the tech hub is located. In about three months, Wistron will also start producing the SE, Apple cheapest iPhone model.
