Apple defends fees in response to Spotify complaint

Apple charged a fee for 680,000 Spotify users who chose to move from a free to a premium subscription through the Apple in-app purchase function, Der Spiegel reports citing a reply that Apple gave to the European Commission at the end of May. Moreover, it charged Spotify a rate of only 15 percent for these customers, not the 30 percent claimed by the music provider.
