Apple expects cheaper LCD iPhone to outsell OLED models - report

Friday 15 June 2018 | 16:20 CET | News
Apple expects customers to stick with the cheaper LCD version of the three iPhones it's set to release in the autumn due to the high price of the other two OLED screen phones, according to supply chain sources cited by the Wall Street Journal. The company's new iPhone lineup will include two models with expensive organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens and one LCD model but the company has rebalanced its production plans to make more of the LCD model, anticipating that consumers are likely to prefer the cheaper version, said the sources.
