Apple said it fixed a HomeKit security bug that affected HomeKit running iOS 11.2 end-users by leaving key connected home hardware open to unauthorised third-party access, writes online publication Techcrunch.com citing an Apple statement. The glitch, which was initially discovered by 9to5Mac, reportedly allowed an outside party to access things like smart locks and garage doors. The fix temporarily disables remote access to shared end-users, which will be restored in a software update early that will be released during the 10-16 December week, Apple said in a statement.
