Apple focused on autonomous systems - CEO Cook

Apple appears to have confirmed that it's working on self-driving car systems. In an interview with Bloomberg, CEO Tim Cook said the company is "focusing on autonomous systems". This is "a core technology that we view as very important", he said and likened the effort to "the mother of all AI projects", adding it's "probably one of the most difficult AI projects to work on". Cook has never before openly outlined Apple's plans, though public filings have surfaced in recent months that provided snapshots of Apple's efforts.
