Apple grows market share in US, UK, still down in China

Apple gained market share in the year to July in key markets such as the US and UK, but continued to lose share in China, according to the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. With the iPhone 6s the top-selling smartphone in the US, at around 11 percent of sales in the period, Apple's share of its home market rose by 1.2 percent points year-on-year to 31.3 percent. Googles Android OS fell 0.6 points over the same period to 65.0 percent. In China, iOS lost 4.4 percent points year-on-year to 14.3 percent, and Android strengthened its lead to 85.0 percent of sales in the
